  • Olive oil
  • Essential oils

With the help of some empty spray bottles, scrub brushes, and clean microfiber rags, you can use these ingredients to keep your home looking wonderful.

How to Use Them

  • Toilet Bowl Cleaner- Turn off the flow valve to your toilet and flush once or twice until the water is completely drained. Then, pour in one cup of baking soda. Pour one cup of vinegar in next, covering as much of the surface of the bowl as possible. Then add 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. Scrub the bowl with your toilet brush to remove any stains or rings, then turn the water back on and flush.
  • Furniture Polish- In a bowl, combine ¾ cup of olive oil, one tablespoon of vinegar, juice from ¼ of a lemon, and three to four drops of lemon essential oil. Dampen your cleaning rag with water and squeeze out any excess liquid, then dip the damp rag into the mixture. Wipe down your furniture, then buff off with a dry towel.
  • Glass Cleaner- In a spray bottle, combine 1 ½ cups of vinegar with 1 ½ water, adding your favorite essential oil if you want. Spray onto glass and use old newspaper to wipe clean (newspaper that is at least 2 weeks old will be less likely to give you black fingers from the ink.) This will give you a streak-free shine.
  • Stainless Steel Cleaner- Love the look of stainless steel appliances, but not the smudges? In a spray bottle, mix together ½ cup of vinegar, 2 cups of warm water, and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Wait until the mixture stops bubbling, then place the cap on the bottle and spray the stainless steel. Wipe clean with a dry microfiber cloth.
  • Fabric Softener- Keeping your clothing soft doesn’t require the use of chemicals. Simply add up to ½ cup of vinegar and your favorite essential oil to the rinse cycle when you’re washing clothes. If have a front load washer, you can also place this mixture in the fabric softener compartment.
